  1. This is the second piece from a collection of 17 Capricci for Flauto Traverso by Italian flutist and composer Filippo Ruge. Born in Rome around , Ruge appears to have spent most of his professional life in France, and especially in Paris, where several of his compositions were published, ranging from small-scale chamber music to large-scale symphonic works.

  4. Recorded on 07/09/, uploaded on 09/05/ Musician's or Publisher's Notes. Capriccio in d minor. 7 Fantasien, op. Johannes Brahms. With the sonatas and variation sets of his early and middle career long behind him, Brahms turned the focus of his piano output to the composition of miniatures, building on the musical traits that first manifested themselves in the op. 10 Ballades.
  5. Written during the composer's second visit to England, Felix Mendelssohn's Capriccio brillant, Op. 22, is a charming example of the composer's pianistic art. The Andante introduction is a gentle, unassuming melody with a light touch of melancholy, enriched by a discreet arpeggiated accompaniment.
  6. In , Tchaikovsky left Russia to travel Europe, taking full advantage of the support of his sponsor, Nadezhda von Meck. Soaking up the local music while abroad, he collected souvenir melodies for later use; his favorites from the streets and music books of Rome formed the basis of his Capriccio Italien, a mélange that has been one his most popular orchestral works ever since.
  7. Sammartinis first concerti grossi, those of his Op. 2, are considered to be among the composers masterpieces. These intensely inspired pieces, composed with such vigorous spirit, sometimes hardly seem to fit the measured form of the concerto grosso. Sammartinis themes enjoy a pliant lyricism, at times melancholic, at others passionate and vehement.5/5(3).
  8. A Vigorous full Orchestral Phrase-based Cinematic Sample Library. Capriccio is our biggest Orchestral collection yet, both in terms of physical size and in terms of sound, which is just BIG! We say it is big, and the sound is big, but as you can hear from the demos the sound has a diverse range of uses and is only limited by your own imagination.
